First Place for Best of Ianto: Angst, "It'll End in Tears"
First Place for Best of Ianto: Slash, "It'll End in Tears"
Third Place for Best of Ianto: Action/Adventure, "Disambiguation" (tied with [livejournal.com profile] sarcasticbabble's "The Windhovers")

Honestly? I'm stunned. Everyone I was in with makes me want to be a better writer pretty much every time they post. "Moving In" absolutely took me apart when I read it the first time. I was in categories with [livejournal.com profile] sam_storyteller and [livejournal.com profile] xtricks, both of whom consistently post things that just blow my mind. My writing office door has "AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER" written on it because of Edgar van Scyoc Presents: Doctor Who and Second City Torchwood. Bowled over, I tell you.

In short, I'm feeling grateful to everyone who liked my stuff well enough to nominate it and vote for it and put it in the same room with people who kick my ass daily. Thank you for reading. Really. Thank you.

Right. I'm done yammering. Now go read those other folks if you haven't already. You won't regret it.

...apparently I've been nominated for the Skiffy Awards. Give me a moment while I scrape my jaw off the floor.

I'm up in three categories:

Ianto: Action/Adventure: Disambiguation

Ianto: Angst: It'll End In Tears

Ianto: Slash: It'll End In Tears

Click here for a full list of Torchwood/Doctor Who/Sarah Jane Adventures nominees. Frankly, I'm stoked to be seen on a list with some of these folks, and kind of intimidated. It's a good feeling on a Saturday morning. Oh yes.

If you'd like to vote -- and you should, because voting is awesome -- you should visit the Techiedom Forums and vote in the polls. Yes, you will need to register, but that'll just mean you've got a login for future rounds (they do 3 a year).

Also, just to let you know, massive progress on IEIT #22 and #23 happened Thurs & Fri. Oh yes. Good times. Big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sanginmychains and [livejournal.com profile] resourceress for talking me down when I had some mid-week moments of batshit craziness.
